Review on πŸ’¦ Driew USB Water Pump: Submersible Water Fountain Pump with 3W DC 3.5-9V and 200L/H Flow Rate by Trina Piskie

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's pretty loud. For the rest, however, it serves its purpose.

I received a very low power pump that can be powered from a USB power supply. I was more interested in energy efficiency than GPM and in that regard I was pleasantly surprised that it delivered more than I expected. A USB port might come in handy for those who, like me, plan to use it for USB. However, since it's rated for a wide range of voltages, this can be a disadvantage for those who need to unplug the cable and plug it into a different slot or something like that. It would be nice if it had a standard coax connector with a USB to coax adapter, although that might increase the cost (and the key factor here is low cost, of course). It just depends on how you're going to use it and if you mind a bit of splicing and/or soldering if you don't want to use the USB connector. My only real complaint is that while it can be pretty quiet at times, it makes quite a bit of noise most of the time. I've done everything in my power to remove any air bubbles etc and the water is well filtered with no real contaminants so it should run smooth and quiet but whatever I'm doing most of the time. Noise. Not the usual rumble you hear, but almost something like a grinding noise (not like metal on metal or some other ripping noise, just a noise like it's just not working evenly or something). It's not loud enough. unless you're close to being more than a minor annoyance, but it's a constant annoyance. It will be fine for the purpose I have, but needs to be kept in mind.
