I bought a new 2016 Macbook Pro about 4 months ago. Although I was disappointed that Apple got rid of all the useful ports in their new Macbook models, I had to buy an adapter so I could access my files on my flash drives. I'm hesitant to use third-party branded products on my Apple products, probably because I take very good care of them, as they're an investment in a way, which is why I bought an Apple USB adapter. So far this has worked flawlessly and I haven't had any problems with it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm not a big fan of the few inches of stiff cord separating the ends of the adapter. It looks like a good quality cable but I can see that if it accidentally bends too much during use it will run short. I can't say for sure if this will happen, so don't let that put you off buying it. I understand Apple wants to make things smaller and wireless, but I'm disappointed that they got rid of the USB/HDMI ports. If you're in the same boat as me and need an adapter to use USB products, this is the best there can be!
