Review on πŸ”Š Mini Hi-Fi Integrated Amp 2-Channel Stereo Bluetooth 5.0 Power Amplifier with USB - 50W x 2, Wireless Audio Receiver for Home Speakers & Headphone (Douk Audio Tone, Blue) by Veronica Smith

For inexpensive speakers - great. Wouldn't use it for much more.

I bought this as a temporary replacement while waiting for my 750w power amp to show up. I had bookshelf speakers from Sharp that came with a home hi-fi system. They're nothing fancy, but they're perfect for pairing with this receiver. I also have some really good passive studio monitors to listen to while mixing. I had no problems with the Sharp, but did hear a lot of hissing noises when connecting studio monitors to this unit. I didn't leave them on for long. The sound wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't good. The lower quality of the bookshelf speakers is a much better match for the performance of this small amp. I had issues with stuttering and distortion when using it as a USB DAC, but I didn't test it in that capacity for long. Distortion was not noticeable on the Sharp speakers so I attribute it to the fact that my speakers are vastly superior to this small amp. I will probably give this unit to my sister so she can use the speakers she already has. It's definitely comfortable. One of the things that bothered me the most was the volume wheel and the system audio level, which seem to be completely independent. If it weren't for that gap between volume control and system audio level I probably would have continued to use it for Sharp speakers, but I'm content to use my USB interface for the power amp method and get less distortion that way.
