I was really looking forward to this supposedly large 17" laptop bag to replace my current 17" laptop bag which doesn't have extra pockets for other things that I have to carry around . This 17 inch bag is actually the same size as my old 15 inch laptop bag. If you have a 17 inch laptop it can get quite cramped and might fit if it's not as big as my ASUS 17 laptop. I was very disappointed to see that this is not a true 17 inch laptop bag. It should have been another 2 inches taller or at least the same height as my basic 17 inch laptop bag when placed side by side. I also checked the label on the plastic bag and it's marked as a 17" bag, but it's more of a 15.6" bag that could potentially fit some 17" laptops if they're not too big are. The quality matches the price of $40. bag and would be ok for me and would make use of for a few years. The strap, hooks and pad on the pad are flimsy. I was planning on replacing the straps with other prettier straps that I have. I have included some photos of my plain 17 inch laptop bag next to this 17 inch laptop bag. You will see that it is not high enough. I've visited several stores that sell cases for 17" laptops and they all top it. With that in mind I take my time to find the right case for a 17 inch laptop and will most likely have to buy one in a store so I can see it first. The Revain is great and I've had no trouble returning an item within a day or so.
