This post is getting a little long so I'll break it down into parts. Why: I bought this because I was looking for a table by the entrance. I tried (twice) to buy another one but it kept getting lost in the mail so I was looking for a quick replacement that was long enough to fit my wall. I stumbled upon this one by accident, which went very well with the style and color of my furniture. Delivery: Delivery didn't take long. I'm a special case, although I have Amazon Prime I'm currently overseas so it took a little longer to arrive (which of course is to be expected). It actually took less time than Amazon predicted. 5/5 Arrival/First Thoughts/Fitment: When I first received the box, it was definitely a bit damaged. The outer box was a bit dented but when I opened it on arrival home the box with all the parts inside seemed pretty solid with a few dents on the box. When I opened the box with the parts, the first thing that fell out was styrofoam. This foam was very soft and broke easily. If you see the photo above, there is still foam on the table. I left it there on purpose to show the mess. In addition, all boards and pieces were safe and sound. The only damage I noticed on one of the circuit boards during assembly was a small chip in the corner. But it was on the underside, so once assembled it would never be noticed. However, this could easily be corrected with a black marker. The hardware, on the other hand, was a little different. So, above I've included a picture of the "manual" (1 sheet) they gave in the assembly box. Everything was labeled (but the bags containing the items were slightly torn and looked worse than worn. Luckily nothing had slipped out of those bags and been lost or identified) and were generally present. Some parts were more than stated, others were missing something. So what I mean by "missing" is that when I was building I noticed that they gave me so many specific screws. Well, if you worked out in the instructions how many you would theoretically need (if you follow it exactly), then you really need two more screws than you said. So it was very annoying. But at the time I really couldn't foresee the problem. 4/5 Structure/Strength: This is where the table loses the most points. So at first the instructions were pretty easy to understand, but when they started to include the metal bars on the back of the table, there were a lot of problems. So they happily used the "J" screws and only provided 16 of them. Well, as I calculated the amount I wanted, the further I got on I became the more concerned as it turned out I was going to need more than 16. It just so happens that in step 3 where you need to connect the bars on the back with X shape, I tested the included "I" screws as they gave me 3 extra ones and it worked fine. After looking at the manual; With what they provided and what they really need, it looks like someone made a typo and swapped the "J" screws and the "I" screws. So you need 19 J screws and 16 I screws. This typo caused a little improvisation problem. So for those planning to buy this you may need to use the "I" screws in step 3. They're better suited for this step, so I'm not sure if the numbers got swapped or if they're "I don't" on the "Jay" chart. In any case, it gave me some grief. Another issue that confused me a bit was at step 8 where we were told to screw on the metal support "E". Surprise, another typo. The metal bar was marked with an "M" and obviously you didn't need to use the reading instructions to figure out where the metal bars would go. I just like to follow directions (although some things are common sense) just in case I'm missing something or pointing it in the wrong direction. This also brings me to my other problem: there are 4 holes on the bottom of the boards, two on each side. The one that is closer to the edge of the board and the one that goes a little deeper into the board. Nowhere in this manual or on the boards is it specified which direction the board should face. Well I accidentally put it on the wrong side which scratched the sides of the boards a bit due to the tight fit. The holes closest to the edge go outward so the edges are flush with the support posts. As for strength, it seemed rather flimsy and sketchy during build, creaking with every movement. Well, once you've put all the boards in and tightened everything up, it seems pretty solid. I would put glass or other valuables on it, but I'm wondering if it can withstand one person (just sitting), probably not. Overall 3/5. Now that you see how I scaled each section, you're wondering why I gave this product 4 stars, even though the actual construction (which probably took me an hour or two) was probably the most annoying part, which lies mind what he took care of me. The product arrived on time, was in near perfect condition, looked just like the photo and sat in the right place for me. Yes, the design and poor instructions definitely annoyed me. But when it's done (with a few improvised touches here and there), the table looks great. Overall I believe you get what you pay for. If you want high quality, this product is probably not for you. If you want something quick, fairly easy to assemble and simple, this table might be for you. My aesthetic is classic black with a sleek look. So in this case I weighed the price and the color/material. For me this is the perfect table to fill my entry. You get what you pay for. I hope this helps someone.
