A nice device that works as advertised. The USB orientation and free-floating nature made me want to return it.

I bought this for my new 16" MacBook Pro. This item fits perfectly with the ports on the device and gives a nice click when the connection is successful. Color is Apple Space Gray as advertised. All the ports have it works.Nevertheless, I decided to return the unit. The reasons are design driven and stem from not wanting to take any chances with my laptop which was a significant investment.I am writing this review primarily because I wouldn't have bought them myself if I had known about these things. The number one reason I brought this back was because the device is "free floating" which means when it's connected to my laptop it relies on itself on anything. You can press on the block and it can flex a lot before it touches the surface the laptop is on. W While the block snaps into place, I still had to hold it when plugging and unplugging the USB device, especially the latter, as it shakes the device. Personally, I didn't want to use anything that would tax the built-in USB-C ports every time I use it. Another reason I returned the product is that the USB ports are upside down. If you connect a cable, it doesn't matter. However, some of the USB sticks I use regularly have a design (see photo) that cannot work due to this orientation, as it doesn't provide enough space and causes the USB stick to move when connecting laptop devices bends.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
