Review on 💿 Panasonic DIGA DMR-EH50 - DVD and HDD Recorder by Flavio Iyer

I am compelled to write this review partly because of the author's bad experience of WHAT A POS. It was. My experience was much better but it wasn't that easy. I decided to give this thing a try as I knew other people were having trouble setting it up. I figured if I couldn't get it to work he would just go back to the store before overpowering me. Obviously the biggest problem is that the TV guide doesn't work on some cable companies and it might not work at all on satellite. We have analogue cable (no box) and I was able to download all of the TV Guide content with no problems (although it took a while). So far so good, but just learning a few basic things was a real challenge. First. I would say there are three big problems: 1) the remote control is really hard to use (and you have to use the remote control to use almost all of the functions), 2) you keep going through all these different OSD menus and Control panels that are really cumbersome and you can't easily switch from one to another, and 3) it's difficult to get information from the manual. (It's mostly there if you really go digging - but I've found little things that aren't true at all.) But after almost five months, I think this machine and I are starting to understand each other. And it's packed with features, many of which I haven't even tried yet. I'm blown away by all the features that you can get for around three hundred dollars. Once set up, the TV Guide is constantly updated so you can see what's happening over the next eight days. You simply select your shows, click on them and they are recorded. You can then copy them to read-only or read-only drives, or just view and delete them when you're done. (It takes a little over ten minutes to transfer a two-hour movie to disc once it's running.) Some people have been disappointed with the editing options and the fact that chapters etc. aren't duplicated on disc. . If this is important to you, this might not be the best choice. And if you're the kind of person who doesn't like messing around with gadgets, you should probably leave it alone.
