I've been using a two part epoxy and UV resin for about 6 years. I've tried almost every common UV resin on the market and they all have the same basic issues. They yellow quickly, shrink, get very hot, curl, and are difficult to cure without leaving a slight tack on the surface. Due to common issues, I only use UV resin on a limited number of things. I saw this updated version and decided it was worth a try. When it arrived yesterday, I took out a silicone mold with domes of different shapes and started making a "galaxy". The resin was cold when it arrived (I'm with MT) so it was pretty gooey when I first started using it, but was easy to deal with a few bubbles. The dome in the picture is about 3/4 inch deep. I did this in 5 coats and cured in between. There was no yellowing and much less shrinkage than standard UV resin. When I finished with the piece and pulled it out there was very little tack so I placed the piece in an LED/UV lamp for 30 seconds and the tack was gone. I think the stickiness came from the mold I used being quite thick and not fully transparent. I am very happy with this product and look forward to using it in a standard non-LED lamp. In addition, the price for this large container is high. I would highly recommend this product over other popular UV resin brands.
