I have a decent collar (13lbs) and he loves napping in this mount. I thought the suction cups would come off if he jumped on them, but surprisingly they stayed. Just make sure you clean the window and suction cups before attaching them. hit the suckers. Due to some miscalculations on my part, I've had to move mine a few times. For larger cats, the edge that comes out the front of the mount may not be strong enough for your kitty. I recommend watching your cat enter before leaving them alone. Mine didn't break or anything but it was enough to scare my kitty lol.
