I bought this primarily to connect a Beyerdynamic MMX 300 headset to my 2019 Macbook Pro and it works excellent for this, both for the microphone and for the microphone and for headphones. The built-in multimedia button on the headset cable also works perfectly. I can also confirm that it works with the PS5 controller. The cable appears to be well made but I'm sure like all cables like this that get a lot of tugging and moving it will eventually fail but the main reason for me buying them is to take the stress out and an expensive one Wearing out headphone cables ($65 in my case) and moving it to something cheap like this.
