They are perfect for a costume that requires boots (White Goodman from The Bouncer) where I didn't want to spend a fortune on other options. Boots are above mid-calf, high enough, made of soft canvas, so comfortable and not insanely expensive. They are a bit small so I don't think I can wear anything other than very thin socks but they will work for what they are designed for. However, it's only a canvas with a small, non-durable sole as it's a dance shoe, so I don't think they'll last very long if worn at Halloween events. Inside they will probably last a long time.
