I've tried a variety of scissors, pliers and wire cutters/pliers and paid up to $150 for these super awesome all-round pliers/nippers. and $50 for Simms guide tongs. None of them remain sharp after a few dozen cuts, regardless of the thickness of the lines. The most annoying thing is that they can NEVER cut the braid. Boomerang is amazing. I've been using this thing for two seasons now and also in salt water and so far haven't had anything I can't cut. And the price. Well that says it all. This cord cutter is truly the only cord cutter you will ever need. I like the smaller freshwater version because I found the saltwater version too cumbersome. But anyone who buys this tool will definitely not be disappointed.
