Just right if you need the extra features

Edit 12/18/2020: I found a few issues with it that don't change my overall satisfaction: 1. Speakerphone volume is low and not adjustable. The volume of the handset and the (adjustable) headset is good.2. The phone sometimes spontaneously opens the line with a quick "busy" signal. This happens with auto-answer (which doesn't ring); conversely, when the answering machine is turned off, a ring or two will ring, but there are no spontaneously opened lines. The call forwarding I use is not dependent on any of these conditions. ************************************************** * Just delivered and set up as my next desk phone replacing the phone which had a second cordless phone and required AC power. JeKaVis only works on a telephone line. Large buttons are easy to use. The screen isn't very bright, but the characters are large and easy to read. The hose fits well around the neck. It's lightweight, so don't drop it on the floor. If you want a wired handset and headset in one device, this is it and the only device under $100. (It's not easy to find a headset that can be connected and used with an existing device.) These are the features I needed and they work well. The built in stand that holds the headset is a nice touch. The speakerphone is not as audible to the interlocutor as the handset, and the headset mic is best heard very clearly. The sound at its end is ugly but good enough for a phone. There's no way to adjust the speaker volume (it's loud) or earpiece volume (it's okay), but you can adjust the headset's volume and turn it off with the handy knob on its row. Finally, unlike another review, you can toggle between handset/headset/speakerphone. The instructions say that before switching you need to press the appropriate button on the base (one for handset, one for speakerphone) and this is enough. No answering machine; the handset and headset are wired, not wireless; a few turns. But he does exactly what he says, does it well, and I'm happy with that.

Pros
  • FSK/DTMF caller ID display
Cons
  • Negative impression
