This scratching post is super super cute and easy to set up (about 20 minutes, one person). My cat weighs 9 kg. and she jumps through everything without moving. I'd like the base to be an elongated, round, arm-like piece that just sticks out for stability, but my cat really doesn't have a problem. That thing is HUGE too. It is very large and yes the bottom bunk is a bit raised but my 3 year old cat with claws can get in with no problem. All in all, this is really the only scratching post that I like in terms of looks, low price and high-quality materials. The beds are also really secure, even if they are only held in place with velcro.
