Fine Parchment; Horrible Box

This parchment baking paper performs well, proving to be nonstick, greaseproof and moisture resistant when I tested it to line baking sheets and an air fryer drip pan. The white version is transparent enough that I will be able to see through it to the dimension guides on my baking mat when forming pizza dough to the desired diameter or rolling out a pie crust. The parchment is a generous 13โ€ wide. Thatโ€™s great for lining a large jelly roll pan, but too wide for most other applications, so thereโ€™s some waste of time and paper due to needing to trim it. Where this product really disappoints is in its bizarre dispenser design. The paper comes off the roll from the top, but the cutter is on the box, not the lid. This means if you pull the paper down against the cutter, it does not cut, it simply rolls out further. Instead, you need to follow the illustration on the box and do some digital gymnastics to press the edge of the lid against the inside of the box, then slowly and carefully tear the paper from left to right to achieve a clean edge. [See video of my husband manipulating the lid to cut a sheet from the roll.] The only plus to this odd box design is that, when closed, the lid safely covers the cutter edge. This two-pack of baking parchment is a good value if you donโ€™t mind dealing with the aggravation of the dispenser.
