*** Changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 after spending $70 plus tax and shipping (almost $90 total) just 6 months after buying this one Owned product as I could not find it Replacement hose from another brand *** I have 8 children ranging in age from 5 to 25. We are home schooled which means our children put a lot more strain on our homes than most families. especially carpets! (If only I could rent a vacuum!) I've tried many vacuums over the years and most have failed, including the Dyson. The best I ever had as a shark many years ago. It had great suction and was easy to unclog, but the parts to be joined were so brittle that they broke and this thing only held together when it was on and the power of the vacuum held it together. For several years we lived in a house with no carpets until last year we bought a house that has ALL the carpets. Including the kitchen and dining room (crying) It's a vacuum cleaner though. That's my favorite. It has strong suction, high quality velcro for all parts and best of all it lays flat to get completely under beds! I'm so glad I took the plunge and paid more for this vacuum!
