So far so good

I got it for a trip. It's big (it has 4 sockets so it doesn't get small) so it's more like putting it in a pocket than a pocket. The sockets are spaced a reasonable distance apart so you can easily plug in at least a couple of wall warts at a time, possibly more depending on the shape. As for why they face towards the center I don't know - it looks like they might give you more room to plug in those clunky adapters if they faced outwards. I think you could take this thing apart and realign it if you really need it. My main use is to connect my travel router, phone, tablet and maybe an external battery or two via the USB charging ports, powered by a USB hub via one of the AC outlets (to connect a USB hard drive for travelling and to supply electricity). router) and use a different outlet to charge your laptop. This gives me a couple of power outlets and USB charging ports should I need them (assuming the total power doesn't exceed 40W so there's no need to hook up a microwave). It works great for all of this and I don't have to worry about how Sophie can decide what gets loaded and what doesn't. There's an on/off switch (no breaker) and a fairly sturdy 4-foot power cord with a small, thin blue LED to show it's powered on. It's also supposed to be surge protection, but I don't know if it really works and I hope it doesn't.

Pros
  • POWER INDICATOR: Blue LED shows if your device is on and working properly
Cons
  • Damaged
