The egg ring is so cute and fun! I bought the metal ones a few years ago but they were so difficult to clean that I rarely used them. The other day I threw away the metal one in desperation and went online to find a silicone version instead. They're great, they're so easy to clean, they work exactly as they should! Making egg mak muffins at home is fun again! I heat the pan, put the ring in, and then melt some butter in the ring. Once the butter has melted, I add the egg. Then I pour a few drops of water into the pot from the outside of the ring and cover the pot with a lid to brown it a bit. Once the egg starts to set, sometimes I just remove the ring, flip the egg, and add some cheese to melt it a bit.
