Review on Enhanced Illumination: 💡 Slim Inch Compatible Recessed Lighting by Joshua Carter

Let me first say this is a 5 star product if my data concerns are unfounded. I put these lamps in the basement. The switch that powers the light also powers my internet gateway, but my local wifi network is on a different circuit. I've spent two hours adding light over my LAN with no success. Turns out the problem was that you can't add a light to the app without an internet connection. I discovered this because it takes longer for my gateway to boot back up after a power outage than it takes for WiFi to pair with the lights. I had an oh no moment and ran an extension from the other circuit to the gateway router and the light added with no problems. Also, you cannot use the color features at all without creating an account. So no lighting with no internet connection and no color management with no internet connection between Chinese company and my LAN via my phone. I'm by no means an IT expert, maybe someone can explain.
