After almost being hit twice by a car while driving at night last winter, I ordered these (and a few other lightweight items) for safety reasons. Finally I feel safe; I no longer get startled every time I hear an approaching car! It is very easy to put on the heels of the sneakers; They stay in place and don't interfere with your step. The lights are bright and really make you stand out. I recommend them to anyone running or walking in the dark where there might be movement. My husband jokes that they could be worn to a party. I don't know but they are great for making me visible to drivers!
