The product was received and assembled according to the instructions. The first thing I noticed was that my tripod legs wouldn't snap onto the triangular plate. The legs also don't seem to be equally spaced in the radial direction, so my tripod isn't level. Terrible tripod/telescopic tripod. Since then I've logged into the Celestron website and submitted a support ticket - no replies yet (it's been several business days). The next thing I noticed was that the telescope was not collimated upon arrival. I did a star test (seen the telescope defocused on a bright star and aligned the spider's leaf image) and found it to be quite off-center. During the collimation process, I also noticed at least 3 small fragments on the primary mirror. To be honest, for $300 I expected everything to be pretty well controlled through the quality control process.
