Purchased to add a display to test a 2012 15" MacBook Pro that I received with a cracked display. It worked great and I say that because Apple is pretty good at third party adapters MacBook, and noting that the replacement cost was prohibitive to begin with, I decided to test a headless MacBook.While it worked great with an old Acer monitor, Acer picked it up right away and let me use the MBP keyboard and mouse use it to navigate.. Need internet access in another room, I encountered problems when trying to use it with an old Dell monitor, Dell wanted an external keyboard but it still refused to show it when it did I blame the Dell display and/or other connecting cables, not this adapter!
