Bought to replace a cracked external screen (not a true LCD). Installation was very easy. Removing the old screen can be tedious and you may need to take your time depending on how badly your screen is damaged. I would recommend using a blow dryer on the edges to loosen the glue and I would NOT use a heat gun. You risk damaging the LCD. Cotton swabs with sticky goo will remove the remaining glue, but be careful not to spread it all over the place. Otherwise everything seems fine so far. I only gave it 4 stars because the screen I received has wavy lines or distortions. That's fine, since it is only perceptible when switched off or at a certain viewing angle. Another problem I have is the supplied adhesive tape. Read other complaints that it doesn't stick, but mine is fine so far. I heated it up with a hair dryer after installation just to seal it in, so we'll see. Also make sure you use a static mat or vacuum to ensure it doesn't tip over behind the screen. Arrived well packaged and in a vacuum bag. I felt that the manufacturer was a little prouder of their product. I've received others that just shipped in bubble wrap.
