needed for an unused room in which I noticed mouse droppings. tried one from a friend and was shocked. I decided to try this method because the plugins rip my sinuses to the point of infection. Now I'll say I need a mask when I open the door lol. BUT I haven't seen another fall YET, and haven't seen it since Christmas. The odor seeps through walls and baseboards when placed on the floor, creating a very unattractive odor to "visitors". I can still light candles and use an oil mist diffuser and enjoy the scent (which means the scent is strong/lasting but not overpowering). I also noticed my plant bugs were gone so I googled and found that the peppermint smell also repels flies, mosquitoes etc. It may have been just once, but I don't have time to find out. . Was very excited to see they were online. I just bought my own batch as the flavor is just starting to fade. Very important.
