The sweater is lighter than I expected but it's great for this changeable weather as it's not too hot and not too hot is cold and usually warmer during the day. I think I ordered the right size, but maybe I ordered a size that barely fits and will definitely not fit him for much longer. Now he's the perfect size as he covers his torso well and he has a bit of room to grow, but these kids grow in weeks so I doubt we'll have him much longer. I ordered a size 7-8 but although my child is taller for his age I figured this would definitely give him some more room to grow. Although I like the colors. It goes perfectly with his jeans and he looks really cute in contrast to his sweatpants. The color combo is great, I usually go for dark colors but this time I wanted something different so he could learn how to match his outfits. The fabric is soft and very comfortable. Material and workmanship are top, no complaints. I'm not saying you have to go up a size - all children are different. My baby had just gone through a growth spurt and when I had it I may not have realized how much bigger it would be.
