Review on Cambro 1218CCW135 Camwear Storage Polycarbonate by Jacqueline Chavez

Cambro Lid - Fits and works well

Fits in the box it belongs in, fits snugly but doesn't snap into place. It's designed to keep other things out of your grocery box, not as a tight enclosure like a Tupperware container. It is properly designed and a lot of care has been taken to avoid cross-contamination. Falling food juices either stay there or can drain down the sides without dripping into the box itself. However, I would like it to be a bit thicker or have internal stiffeners for strength. The staggered fins would make this thing nearly indestructible, but add very little to the cost of production. The plastic itself doesn't seem to do much and feels brittle, but it seems quite durable with normal use and no crashes. It actually turned out better than I expected. It has a pair of external anti-slip ribs on top as seen in the photo. They allow containers to be stacked and are well designed for this purpose as they help to secure multiple units together and prevent them from shifting. They don't snap together, and you wouldn't want them to, but when you're working with cold, wet food containers, being able to stack them in groups on a flat surface is enough. I agree to the purchase and we'll see how long it lasts by treating it with kindness. I personally find it a bit overpriced but that's what they do and it works. I would end up buying them again, but I wish the Cambro would do a little more for the money charged.

Pros
  • Not only usable for intended purpose
Cons
  • Defects
