This is a 1 year review of this backpack.1. The main compartment is separated from the hard surface you rest the backpack on by only very thin material and offers no protection for anything inside the main compartment.2. The seams and seams of the laptop compartment leave marks on some surfaces of the laptop. The Microsoft Surface 2 laptop was noticeably worn after several weeks of transport in the laptop compartment under certain lighting conditions. The organizer is useless. The pockets are so thin that if you put something thicker than your average Casio calculator inside, it will bulge into the main compartment, further limiting the main compartment's capacity. The top zipper of "phone compartment" is awkward to use. Difficult to open, difficult to close.5. shoulder straps. These straps never stay in place. I have to constantly adjust the length of the shoulder straps every few days because they loosen just from wearing this backpack. In general, I would look for something else.
