I'm a complete idiot when it comes to makeup and hair. My girlfriend has this curling iron and she curled my hair one night and I loved it so I bought mine and decided to check out this whole hairstyle. Thing is HOT! Like I said, I don't know and I burned my neck and shoulder within the first 10 minutes of using it. That was 7 months ago and I have severe scars. One of the lightest scars on my body. Other than that I still love it. After putting my life in order and gaining some hand coordination skills, I realized this is an amazing thing. I have very long, straight and thick hair. I never put it down because it just falls out and it lasts forever because there is so much of it. A friend taught me the trick of tying my hair in a high ponytail and then just curling the ends that come out of the ponytail. Now I can curl all my hair in about 15 minutes. The wand stays away from my face and neck to avoid burns. And it keeps my hair curled for hours even without hairspray. Disadvantages: 1) No heat setting. Easy on and off. 2) The glove is quite large for my small hands. The fingers are too long. I can still use a glove but it will probably work better for people with larger hands. None of these shortcomings are a problem for me. The heat setting it works with works really well with my thick hair and as I said I can still use a glove it could be better.
