I've always loved having these flat chops in my kitchen. Standard serpentine plates are generally good, but they can get dirty and are a bit more difficult to clean. Replacing my hob with this was easier than I expected and a very worthwhile upgrade. Honestly, I prefer induction cooktops simply because I like that you can hold your hand without burning yourself, but that's definitely a personal preference. Cooking on it has a digital feel, glowing red when hot and off when off. You can easily wipe it without getting caught in the grooves. To be honest, I'm not sure why anyone would want anything other than one of those flat top cooktops in their kitchen.
