I really like these diapers. For two kids I've tried Huggies, Luvs, Babyganics, Target's Up&Up, Andy Pandy, Pamper's Pure and maybe a few others, as well as cloth diapers (Green Mountain Prefolds and Thirsties). We use fabrics at home during the day and disposables at night or when we go out. First, the absorbency, which is what diapers are for anyway. I would say they are comparable to all other brands. I've never had a problem with peeing out of diapers, even after wearing them overnight. I am currently using size 3 for my 4 month old who still wakes up during the night to breastfeed. In the morning this diaper has absorbed A LOT of urine but will not leak. I even accidentally ripped off the outer lid with my fingernail when taking it off and nothing spilled. (Don't be put off by the fact that it's ripped! More on that later.) As for poop, I haven't found a disposable diaper that could stand being ripped "on the back". However, cloth diapers do include it (I think it's the elastic waistband). They are comparable to other brands. Fit: The fit is great. The baby is big and tall and size 3 fits perfectly. Softness: I've read reviews that say they're soft and others that say they're rough. Soft inside. not as soft as fabric like some others but still good. The exterior has the texture of tissue paper in my opinion - very smooth and soft, but not like fabric. Sustainability: Seems to be the best I've found. They still contain SAP, but everything else is eco-friendly. As I mentioned, I accidentally ripped one off one morning while taking it off my baby - I poked the cover too hard with a long fingernail while wrapping it. At first I was upset that the diaper was going to break, but then I thought about it and actually LOVE that it broke. Anyway, how long should a diaper last? He only has to work while he's on the baby, and for me it's night, 12 hours. A plastic-filled diaper won't tear overnight, but it won't degrade over decades either. The fact that the cornstarch coating on one of these diapers cracked after being soaked overnight makes me realize that it will START to dissolve and degrade. One final note: I like that they have a simple design/pattern. I don't want pictures of Mickey Mouse or Winnie the Pooh stuck on my kid's butt. Summary: Excellent diapers with absorbency on par with traditional brands. Good fit and excellent environmental friendliness. Will be using them as consumables for the foreseeable future.
