got this bad boy and was pretty happy - got a bag of peppercorns and was off! i was doing coarse grinding, fine grinding, i was just a pepper grinding machine! then it came time for my first 'refill'. i popped open the top like i had done for the initial fill, sloppily got peppercorns all over the floor with a few into the chamber, screwed the top back on, and was off again! oh wait. no. the entire mechanism seemed to have stopped grinding. i am admittedly a spazz, so i took the thing apart, swallowed my pride and asked for the wise counsel of my wife, and alas, she was also unable to solve the problem. all of the pieces were in place, the parts cleaned, and still no grinding.the part that' s a real bummer is that it came with a "one year warranty"; i reached out to the company a few weeks ago, and have not yet heard a response. i ended up buying a grinder from OXO that i'm sure will last more than 2 months. not the end of the world for a $10 product, but didn't meet expectations.
