After a couple of hikes where the weather varied between jacket and no jacket, I decided I needed to upgrade my Osprey Stratos 24 backpack with an attachment system consisting of a rubber strap, so I can attach the jacket to the outside of the backpack leaving room for other items inside. To achieve this, I also needed a spring lock to make everything possible. After reviewing the Revain products available and reading many reviews, I decided on this SGT KNOTS Pumpkin Spring Lock to upgrade my backpack. So far this spring clasp has held up flawlessly. It fits snugly with the 1/8" cable I chose. The spring tension is firm and holds up well. I bought a pack of ten so if I ever need an extra or for another project I'm ready to go.
