Review on GRADO Prestige Gold3 Phono Cartridge with Stylus - Standard Mount by Kenny Noel

Finding the right pickup is a very personal journey with many attempts to achieve the perfect sound. In my case, I've been going through a range of cassettes, big booming DJ cassettes, and more recently cassette tapes to create a vinyl CD-like sound. Everything was missing in some area and didn't bring satisfaction. In my personal search for the perfect cartridge, I read a lot about Grado cartridges. I've always been impressed with their family business of handcrafted cartridges in good old Brooklyn, New York. I grew up on Long Island, so this is very important to me. In any event, I was about to make a significant investment in a top-notch cartridge from a competitor, but figured before throwing all that money away I'd give the Grado a roll, just to make sure I didn't miss anything . My Grado Prestige Blue 2 arrived today and I have carefully installed and aligned it on my turntable. The first album, my tester, Pink Floyd Darkside of the Moon and Grado are amazing! Musical, powerful and balanced, as I said, this is the pickup my recordings have been waiting for. Many thanks to Mr. John Grado and his family for making the wonderful cartridge I was looking for!
