I have made waffles with this appliance many times. I prefer thin, crispy waffles. This machine produces wafers with 3/16" holes on each side. For crispy waffles I have to use the highest setting and leave the machine on for a minute or two after the beep that they're done. This machine is easy to use .It takes up very little counter space and just needs to be wiped down with paper towels after each use.The first twenty waffles came out of the iron with no problem every time. After that, without changing the recipe and procedure, they started sticking together like you can see in the photos.Cleaning up the cooked batter that was stuck to two plates was time consuming and very tiring. My solution was to heat up the waffle iron and when it is ready for the batter, lightly oil the two plates and then the batter Pour out. The waffles come out perfectly and easily detach from the plates. As long as you understand that this is not a waffle maker without chopsticks, will n be very happy with it. The photos show the waffle stuck to the iron and the resulting broken waffle, as well as the waffle made by pre-greasing the iron - both on the iron and after it could be easily removed. Note the nice crispy color.
