I bought this house for two adult male guinea pigs. It's pretty easy to assemble, even without instructions. The parts are slotted to match and the roof sits on top. I used it to replace the plastic skin my pigs used to have because they liked to chew on the edges and I didn't want them to accidentally swallow the plastic. So far they have been chewing on the edges of doors and windows, which is fine because the wood is safe for them and wears down their teeth. They easily fit in doors and windows and are pretty big pigs. I actually saw one of them sitting on the roof of the house this morning, so it's also strong enough to support their weight if that's your concern. Overall this is a good roomy guinea pig pelt that is easy to chew and move and hardly gets dirty as the bottom is open.
