My aging 10 lb dog was having a hard time with his old steps so I'm glad he's getting up easily now can with them and get up. As others have said, the felt attached to the steps is slippery so be sure to cover it with carpet. I bought a $10 non-slip rug at Walmart and cut it to size... problem solved. My lifehack is this: In my third picture you can see the flap under the top step that prevents the legs from collapsing. The steps are very strong and well built, but if you push that plate down just 1/4 inch, the legs come out. I didn't want something bad to happen and the legs to collapse so I put a strip of rug scraps under this panel and now the legs won't come off until I pull the rug out. For reference, the new tiers are 25"x19" and the old tiers are 19"x15". I've looked at a lot of them online and honestly I think these are the best of them and a great price for the quality. Others I looked at either had narrow steps, or were too steep, or not high enough, or didn't have side rails, or were made of flimsy plastic. You are perfect!
