I don't know why there are so few reviews but this toy has been our favorite for 7 months. There is no volume control but there are 2 functions, one for small movements and the other for babies who are good at crawling and following the toy. As soon as baby presses the button, the crocodile lights up and starts moving to a happy melody. Whoever designed this toy made it thoughtful. The toy comes with 3 batteries and a tiny screwdriver, so you can start enjoying this toy right away. Even my husband was amused lol!
