I have never had a silk pillowcase so I wanted to find one at a reasonable price as I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. I usually used satin and got rid of them quickly because they could be scuffed and striped. This pillowcase weighs 19 mm and is very light and soft. When you receive it, be sure to unwrap it and let it air out to smell the sericin (something made by silkworms that binds fibers). It's very smooth and light. It feels cool but heats up slightly when you lie on it. I was pleasantly surprised that it closes with a zipper. This means it stays on the pillow and doesn't curl up. There is a washing instruction label inside but it would have been nice to have the care instructions on the lining that came in the box. If you have oils or lotions on your face, hair and/or body, they will soil your pillowcase a little, so wear these products wisely. I only rated it a 4 for warmth because it stays on the cooler side even though it warms up a bit. This is a really good entry level product if you are new to silk. *Product tester rating*
