Our $3500 TV started with a dark spot after about 2 months. I contacted Samsung to have it repaired or replaced under warranty. They told me they didn't have a repair part and they couldn't send me a replacement or an upgrade to a different model. They could only offer me a refund. Note that the TV was in stock on their website. The refund originally offered was over $1,000 less than what I paid and the price listed on samsung.com looked like a scam. At the same time I showed the receipt and they were willing to pay the same amount I paid. Samsung doesn't pay for someone to disassemble and reinstall a new TV. If I accepted a loan from Samsung.com, they offered me $13 on top of what I paid. It's not nearly as expensive for someone to remove and reinstall the TV. Neither back and forth on this topic. I also asked if they could give some kind of discount to all the admins I had to do to get a refund, the answer was no. Yes, and in order to get a refund I was asked to disassemble the TV and remove the serial number sticker. I don't think I've ever had such a terrible support experience for a premium product. Couldn't be more disappointed in Samsung. I understand that everything is broken. It is in order. I expected a company like Samsung to be able to get me up and running again at no cost to them. I think it was too much to hope for.
