My original charger, just over a year old, broke while playing. I was skeptical but needed a test charger to see if the problem was with the charger or the laptop. It really was the charger. I've been using these for a week with no problems. It turned out cheaper than in the store or at HP. The only downside is that it's smaller and the wires are thinner than my original, which can cause it to wear out quicker.
