Review on Wi-Fi router MikroTik hAP ac3, black by Stanisaw Nader ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good and quality product, but there are flaws.

I took it for comparison with hAP ac2 and because of the PoE port. I did not notice a strong positive difference in the work, with the exception, subjectively, of a lower load on the processor when working with IPSec + ILV lists got in. Of the negative points: either they were too smart with the software module for IPQ-4019, or the antennas are not optimal for 5GHz, but hAP ac2 on simple settings with 5GHz has, subjectively, the best coverage area. However, we managed to overcome this problem by setting the parameters, as in the picture. In outdoor mode, the router increases the power of the transmitter signal, but strongly shifts the frequencies to the right, so the frequency selection mode is in superchannel, and when a country is set, it starts to cut the power in accordance with the settings for this country. Result: at a distance of 10 m for a 5GHz channel, through a reinforced concrete wall, the signal level is -58dBm, which completely suits me.

Pros
  • 1. More memory than hAP ac2 2. PoE Out 3. Good antenna gain
Cons
  • 1. To put it mildly, the "strange" algorithm of the wireless communication chip 2. Very large, and 1/3 of the body is empty 3. Insufficient fixation of antennas
