I like that it's easy to install, configure and use - you can get up running quickly with minimal fuss. It has good support for JDBC connections (using Java) but if your application is using native JNI or other non-JDBC connection types then this could be an issue. We're replacing Oracle in our team so we needed something quick & simple which didn't require much configuration time/effort after initial setup! It is very easy to setup, it runs fast as compared to other Java EE servers. It has some nice features like CDI, JPA etc. The only thing I am missing is a GUI for configuration. If you are looking for a quick server to try out, this is your best bet. We use it in our development environment. It is easy to set up and configure. It is very stable and performs well. We use it in different environments.
