Used as water line sealant on a water heater. All of the fittings between the water lines and the hot/cold water shut-off valves had small leaks where the o-rings would not shear them off. After using this on each thread (it took a long time but luckily one spool holds a ton of sealing tape) not a single leak! I am not a plumber and have never worked with plumbers nor installed a water heater. However, without him I would not have been able to complete this project. Pipe Goop is good too, but I didn't want to mess with it.
