I think it's great for my first try! I'm no pro but a huge craft enthusiast and thought I'd give it a try on my old 1990 Project Wrangler that hadn't even been washed in almost a decade. WOW! It's never looked so good. I can't speak of durability of course as I've owned this polisher for about 3 hours now, but I can say it definitely has enough torque and speed to get the job done. It just depends on the technique and the connection used. I was lucky enough to be able to use the new Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions 1 and make a compound on the side. (I would also recommend this stuff) As it's the first one I've used I can't tell if it's faster or slower than 'this' brand or has more/less torque than 'this' brand , but I can say it works fine. I was also happy to see a slow start. Therefore, he tries not to jump out of your hands when you turn it on. I think I now have the confidence to tackle my new Range Rover this weekend. (wish me luck) and buy yourself one of these. I've heard that the pads that come with the kit could be better and just need replacing, but I haven't had any issues with them. Happy polishing.
