Review on πŸ“ Effortless Millimeter Conversion with MOOCK Electronic Measuring Device by Gerald Hill

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Sorry, disappointment

I had high expectations based on the reviews but am disappointed. First, these calipers feel very heavy in the hand. I was surprised when I weighed them at 199 grams as I thought they were bigger. For comparison, my 8" Mitutoyo weighs 187 grams. So they're heavier than the caliper, which measures 2" more but feels more like a 10 gram difference. sliding motion. I don't find it comfortable. It takes too much force to move the jaws, and the friction doesn't feel consistent throughout the length of the stroke. Yes, I checked that the "clamp" screw is out. Advertisement. I saw that it had a large display, which I liked, but I didn't realize that a larger format only shows the first decimal place. Why should they do this? When you buy a precision meter, you need more than one decimal place. I found it good that the setting is saved when the device is switched off. It's nice to be able to take a block and not zero it before taking a new measurement. I bought these to replace a cheaper caliper I was using while working on the CNC. I don't like keeping my expensive Mitutoyo sample in a dusty environment, so I was looking for a better caliper than the one I'm currently using on the CNC. There are so many caliper options in the $50 range that I think I'll return this one and look at something else. In general, if I was in the store and bought them, I wouldn't buy them.
