Short test report without bullshit. I bought 2 of these and will buy more if needed. Set it up and use it according to the instructions to set up an easy-to-use tachometer. I've used a 9 volt battery with no problems, but will be using a wall wart for a more permanent mount. Attach the magnet with tape or glue. Otherwise, you deserve to be hit in the forehead by a high-speed object (yes, I failed that IQ test myself). Mark the polarity of the magnet with a colored marker and mount it correctly. hp You can use any small neodymium magnet with them, a stronger one will give you more useful spacing. Mark the expected side up. Have fun playing with them, it's addictive. Oh I forgot to say I tested the accuracy and as far as I can tell it is accurate and consistent across the speed range. Is it safe, I repeat, to attach the magnet when running at high speed? I was only hit once, but two of them disappeared into the back of my garage, where they no doubt got caught on the most unexpected piece of metal. you can thank me later As already mentioned, I drink light beer. World! Scott P
