My cat has been eating dry cat food for many years but two years ago she had thyroid problems and simply refused to eat it - I switched her to wet sheba pie and she started eating and has responded well to the medication the vet has prescribed for her - because the thyroid has also affected her kidneys - she loses quite a bit of fluid - food helps keep some fluid in the body - now she is sixteen and she still is - I would highly recommend it to any cat that has trouble with dry cat food - it's easier to chew and easier to digest - it's more expensive but my cat is worth it! it doubles for fancy holiday brews.
