Very easy to use, works out of the box. We need an almost black transition of darkness.
It was very easy to set up and use. Sound quality is to be expected for such a small, flat speaker. I reduced the high frequencies when recording sound from a computer so the sound was more natural and less harsh. It seems that only the transition from almost black darkness to light is detected, which was good for my application. Even covering it with my hand was iffy, I had to lock it in a box so it would activate when exposed to light.
