This watch is very light - probably the lightest sports watch I have ever worn. Very convenient. The display is large and very easy to read in good normal light with very little glare in strong or strong sunlight. One of the main complaints I have is that the light illuminates my hand more than the display. Another downside is that when you press the light button, the light only stays on for a few seconds. This would be fine if the light were to properly illuminate the display, or if the numbers were backlit instead of on the side, but since that's not the case, you'll need to do this if you need to see the time in the dark or in low light press light. press several times to read accurately. I like that the light button is at the top of the display, just wish it was better. I don't know why watch manufacturers these days worry so much about how well and long lasting their lamps work, watches from the 70's, 80's, 90's seemed to work fine but now they just can't get everything they need. Also, as other reviews have mentioned, the side control buttons are quite large and protrude too far, making it very easy for the crook of the hand to engage a mode you don't want to be in. Yes, you can detach the strap to fix this, but I don't like loose watches on my wrist - they get in the way and make wearing the watch useless.
