This cardigan is a solid purchase. It is nice quality and warm. It definitely is soft too. It is a little more than I wanted to spend but still worth it. I love the color I got. I would just follow the directions and hand wash if you’re concerned about it not staying soft. I would even get a size smaller than your normal if you want it to be more fitted. I could have got a small but got a medium. It is a nice oversized Cardigan, and totally worth buying!
